1About these terms
These terms apply when you use My EnergyUpgradeQuotes, operated by Energy Upgrade Quotes Pty Ltd, ABN 15 672 616 581. By using the site or asking for quotes, you agree to them. They're written to be read, so if anything is unclear, email info@energyupgradequotes.com.au.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
2What our ratings are
Our scores rate products and brands using published rules applied to manufacturer datasheets, warranty documents and independent evidence. How we rate explains every rule.
- General information, not advice. Ratings don't take your home, roof, energy use or budget into account. Your installer should confirm a product suits your situation.
- Based on what's published. We rely on manufacturers' documents and public sources. Specs, warranties and approvals change; we check them regularly, but always confirm details on your quote and the current datasheet.
- Not financial advice. Payback, savings and rebate figures are estimates. Rebate rules and amounts change, so check the current rules before you commit.
3How quotes work
When you ask for quotes, we pass your enquiry to no more than three installers who service your area. Then:
- each installer is an independent business, not our employee or agent;
- any quote, contract, installation, warranty claim or payment is between you and the installer you choose;
- you're under no obligation to accept any quote;
- quotes are free. We never charge you for our service.
We check installers before they join our network, but we can't guarantee their work. Check their licence and accreditation, read the contract, and keep copies of every warranty. If something goes wrong with an installer, tell us: we take complaints seriously and may remove installers from our network.
4How we're paid
Installers pay us a referral fee for each enquiry we pass to them. Manufacturers and brands don't pay us. No one can pay for a rating, a score, a rank, a pick or a verdict, and quoting through us never changes any of them. More in why we're independent.
5Your part
When you ask for quotes, you agree to:
- give accurate details, and only your own (or with the permission of the person they belong to);
- be the owner of the property, or have the owner's permission to get quotes for it;
- let the matched installers contact you by phone, text or email about your enquiry.
Please don't misuse the site: no automated scraping, no false enquiries, and nothing that interferes with how it works.
6Our content
The ratings, written content and design of this site belong to us. You're welcome to share links and quote a rating with credit to My EnergyUpgradeQuotes. Datasheets, warranty documents, logos and product images belong to their manufacturers and are shown to help you compare.
7Other websites
We link to manufacturers, regulators and other sites so you can check things for yourself. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what they say.
8Your consumer rights and our liability
Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Apart from those guarantees, and as far as the law allows, we aren't liable for loss that comes from relying on general information on the site, or from an installer's products, quotes or work.
Where our liability for a breach of a consumer guarantee can be limited, it's limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
9Privacy
How we collect, use and share your details is set out in our privacy policy.
10Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will show the date at the top of this page. They're governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Questions or complaints: info@energyupgradequotes.com.au.
